Change

Change should be the main objectives of the companies and not stability. Companies today have to run to stay in the same place. They have to recognize that there is a time in the life of a business when its fundamentals are about to change.

To meet the demands of the fast changing competitive scene, companies must simply learn to love change as much as it was hated in the past. Companies don’t want to be left behind they must anticipate change and lead change. The ability to change faster than the competitor’s amount to a competitive advantage.

Change is what companies need, but how to change? How to get employees to adapt to a new mind set and give up their comfortable activities and learn new ones? The answer to these questions, clearly depends on the top management’s ability to develop a new compelling visions and missions, chose benefits for the various stakeholders appears for greater than the risk and cost of change. Top management should gather support and apply internal marketing to produce change in the organization.

 

The best way for a company to defend themselves in the face of change is to create a company that thrives on change. The company should be made to see change as normal rather than an interruption of the normal. This will enable the company to attract people who have positive attitude towards change, it would institute open discussions of policy, strategy, tactics and organization. The worst thing for a company to do is dislike change, such a company will attract people who dislike change, and its end is inevitable.
